The Turmeric-Rose Yogurt Beauty Mask

"When intelligence and innocence go together,
a profound beauty dawns. "
- Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Turmeric has been by women across the ages to promote beautiful, radiant skin. At the cellular level, turmeric slows cell damage and inflammation, reduces acne, eczema, dry skin and wrinkles, and supports an even and radiant skin tone.
Try this simple recipe for an at-home facial. Your skin will love it!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp full fat plain organic yogurt
1/2 tsp rosewater
1/4 tsp organic turmeric powder
1/8 tsp ground black peppercorn
Mix together all ingredients listed above to form a golden paste or cream. If the substance is too runny, you can add a little more yogurt. Wash your face with cool water and put on an old t-shirt or bathrobe.
Apply the cream directly to your face and leave it on for 10-30 minutes.
If certain parts of the face absorb the yogurt quickly, you can reapply a little more. When you are finished, rinse well and pat dry with an old towel. Repeat 1-2 a week, or as desired.
Tips:
Yes, turmeric does stain, but don't let this prevent you from doing this mask! Try this recipe when you can stay home for the evening, and wear an old t-shirt or bathrobe.
Yogurt with less fat can be used for this recipe, but provides a less nourishing (and more runny) face mask.
