Briya Freeman is a spiritual teacher and facilitator based in Ottawa, Canada.
Her work is dedicated to helping others on their journey of healing and spiritual awakening, and is known for an approach that is down-to-earth, intuitive and deeply-seated.
Briya's primary inspiration comes from nearly 20 years of study and practice in mystic science, Hatha yoga, meditation, shamanism, energy healing and Ayurveda, a holistic science of self-healing.
She is a long-term student of Berdhanya Swami Tierara, a South American shaman, mystic and spiritual teacher (2010-present) who remains a foundational influence in her work.

Briya (Rachel) Freeman began her journey of awakening in her early teens with
an in-depth exploration of ancient wisdom traditions and natural healing
including depth psychology, Eastern philosophy, yoga, meditation, indigenous healing, astrology,
ancestral ceremony, dreamwork and herbalism.
She is a graduate of The Bioenergetics Institute of Ottawa (2012), holds studies from Anjali School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma (Kerala, India 2012-2016) and Dhawanthari Ayurveda (2019-present), a Bachelor's degree from The Telfer School of Management (2006), and studies in International Business at L'Ecole Supérieure de Rouen (France, 2004). She is also a certified Breathontology Coach (2021-22).
Briya is the creator of Ayurveda for Vibrant Living, a course exploring principles of natural self-care and self-healing. She is also the co-founder of Eagle Feather Books, a small publication dedicated to the evolution of consciousness, and has published works in Ayurveda Mantra and Blissful Magazine.
Briya has also served as an independent business consultant and senior economic analyst in the Canadian public service, and as a facilitator for Disruptive Art Canada. Briya has facilitated numerous courses in stress-resilience, mental health and creativity for private, public and corporate audiences.
Briya is passionate about exploring the potentials of human consciousness in a way that respects, unites and transcends global culture and tradition.
She has traveled extensively across Europe, Asia and the Americas for spiritual studies, pilgrimages and retreats.
She has also had the honour of supporting the work of shaman and mystic Berdhanya Swami Tierra as Director of International Relations (2016-2019 with whom she has facilitated international courses, pilgrimages and retreats.
Today, Briya continues her work through coaching, retreats and courses which support self-healing, self-transformation and spiritual awakening.
