Briya (Rachel) Freeman draws on 20+ years of practice and study in yoga, meditation and mind-body healing.
Her primary inspiration draws from a long-term mentorship under the guidance of South American mystic and shaman Berdhanya Swami Tierra (2010-2019), whom she served as personal assistant for a period of 5 years, and from the holistic science of ayurveda, a system of holistic medicine, herbalism and self-care.
She is a graduate of The Bioenergetics Institute of Ottawa (2012), holds studies from Anjali School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma (Kerala, India 2012-2016), a Bachelor's degree from The Telfer School of Management (2006) and studies in International Business at L'Ecole Supérieure de Rouen (France, 2004).
Briya is the creator of Ayurveda for Vibrant Living, an 6-month practical exploration of the science of self-healing and host of Meetings with Remarkable People, a video series exploring the intersection between the arts, sciences, unified physics and mysticism.
She is also the co-founder of Eagle Feather Books, a small publication dedicated to the evolution of consciousness. Her writing has been published in several magazines including Ayurveda Mantra and Blissful Magazine.
Briya is currently based in Ottawa, Canada and also offers courses online.
Briya is an enthusiast for exploring the potentials of human consciousness in a way that respects, unites and transcends global culture and tradition.
She has traveled extensively across Europe, Asia and the Americas for spiritual pilgrimages, retreats and personal adventures.
From 2015-2019, she was granted the adventure of serving as Berdhanya Swami Tierra’s personal assistant and Director of International Relations, and regularly supported her work by facilitating international courses, pilgrimages and retreats.
To date, Briya has given meditation courses in 6 countries.
