Healing Chai for Two
Never underestimate the power of a good cup of tea served at the right moment. This is an easy and delicious cold weather drink to boost your digestion and your spirits.
Ingredients
2 cups water
2 Tbsp grated ginger root
3 cinnamon sticks
1Tbsp whole cloves
1 Tbsp cardamom pods
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
2 cups milk of your choice
3 Tbsp loose leaf black or decaf tea
Optional: honey, stevia or other natural sweetener
Preparation:
Boil water, add spices and simmer for ten minutes.
Add the milk and tea, bring it to frothy hot, remove from heat. Stir, cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain and serve.
Sweeten to taste if desired. (Do not heat honey)
