Easy Healing Chai for Two

Healing Chai for Two


Never underestimate the power of a good cup of tea served at the right moment. This is an easy and delicious cold weather drink to boost your digestion and your spirits.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 Tbsp grated ginger root

  • 3 cinnamon sticks

  • 1Tbsp whole cloves

  • 1 Tbsp cardamom pods

  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg

  • 2 cups milk of your choice

  • 3 Tbsp loose leaf black or decaf tea

  • Optional: honey, stevia or other natural sweetener


Preparation:

  1. Boil water, add spices and simmer for ten minutes.

  2. Add the milk and tea, bring it to frothy hot, remove from heat. Stir, cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain and serve.

  3. Sweeten to taste if desired. (Do not heat honey)
