Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old system of natural healing from Ancient India. Known as the 'sister science' of yoga, it uses a combination of food, herbalism and self-care to help the body-mind heal from illness and restore a natural state of strength, immunity and balance.

At its core, ayurveda teaches us that our wellness is innate, and comes through the alignment with nature's cycles and being who we truly are.

Briya (Rachel) Freeman draws on over 15 years’ practice and study in yoga, meditation and mind-body healing.

Her primary inspiration draws from a long-term mentorship under the guidance of Berdhanya Swami Tierra, a female mystic and shaman of South American origin, and from the science of ayurveda, a system of holistic medicine and self-care.

She is a graduate of The Bioenergetics Institute of Ottawa (2012), holds studies from Anjali School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma (Kerala, India 2012-2016), a Bachelor's degree from The Telfer School of Management (2006) and studies in International Business at L'Ecole Supérieure de Rouen (France, 2004).

“What makes this class so special is that it gives you space to experiment the principles of Ayurveda in a very simple way. It teaches you how to tune into the intelligence of your own body and to follow the cycles of nature, with presence, patience and friendliness.

The course material is full of wisdom, wonderful and powerful daily practices, and amazing recipes.

Thank you Briya! It’s a gem of a class!"

“In our journey through life, finding a knowledgeable traveling companion who encourages us to explore new directions is truly a gift.

Briya’s gentle way and warm smile guide us in remembering that we are the creators of our constantly evolving life. Having some good tools in our toolbox make the building easier and gives us confidence to try new approaches.

It is easier than it may seem at first and the process is beautifully laid out."

“Thank you for the lovely course! It helped to open my mind and connect it with my physical body.

I loved the mind-body connection work! The questions you posed were so thoughtful and purposeful. It made me think of things I had never even considered in terms of my own self-concept.

It was a practical course that had an immediate affect on my daily well-being.”

I’ve done a few courses with Briya now and I’m still in awe each time on how intuitive she is. Her ability to help guide you to yourself is truly profound, she is the essence of grace and compassion.

She helps you find that safe space within yourself, and helps you gain access to the knowledge within your heart.

After my own training, I was seeking something that would help facilitate my growth further and thanks to Briya I was able to reach even deeper, giving me more confidence with my own healing, because she helped me gain access to the real me.

 "I loved this course!

The Ayurveda can be complicated but your approach made it simple and easy to incorporate in my day to day life. I enjoyed the time in between session and having many different things to try made it fun. Feeling the benefits was a bonus!

Briya made everyone feel welcome and included, she also provided tailored solution to our challenges. I will definitely apply many principles learned during the course and this training made me want to go deeper into Ayurveda."

“Amazingly beautiful course! As a woman who has always struggled with my body image and weight, this course has given me the BIGGEST AH-HA moment of my life! [..]

I’m truly grateful for having Briya as my teacher. She carries warmth, understanding and no judgment. I look forward to many more teachings!”
